This commercial from Chevrolet is one of the best ones I’ve seen in 2023. I watched it during the Miami vs Dallas football game. And I have to say that Chevrolet really captured the holiday spirit with this ad. The grandmother, the main character in the ad appears to be battling Alzheimers, and is driven around by her daughter in a vintage Chevy to the various spots around town where the mother spent her childhood, including her high school, and where she was kissed for the first time.

Amica Helps You Understand Saver's Remorse

Do you know Saver’s Remorse is? If not, the Amica Mutual Insurance Company wants to help you understand it. According to the company, they are diagnosing you with Saver’s remorse if you pay less for auto insurance, but the coverage is not what you’d like it to be. Then you might be suffering from this affliction Amica has coined as Saver’s Remorse. Amica has several ads highlighting the various things they cover with their insurance, but I haven’t found different spots for Saver’s Remorse. I thought they would make an entire campaign around a phrase usually known as buyer’s remorse, not what’s discussed in this spot.

Gillette Commercial & Me Too

Hello
World,

A few days ago I saw a Gillette commercial that I thought was about bullying at first glance. And it was, but the topic that the commercial really focused on was the #me too movement that we all must be conscious of in a time sexual harassment and bullying is more out in the open. But grabbed my attention is that they incorporated the within the ‘The Best a Man Can Get’ campaign which has turned 30 this year.

Leather and Cookies by Axe

Way back in the 1970s, a team at Ogilvy came up with the timeless phrase “Two great tastes that taste great together.”

That classic bit of copywriting described the irresistible combination of chocolate and peanut butter in Reese’s cups. But it could apply to almost any two seemingly incongruous flavors, smells or other sensations, including … leather and cookies?

Since its 1984 debut, Axe has given the teenage boys of the world many classic bodywash and bodyspray scents, including Africa, Anti-Hangover and Denim. But this new product may be its oddest yet. The Unilever brand turned to German creative agency Dokyo to help promote the impossible combination of Leather + Cookies, and they did not disappoint.

Everyone Gets a Little Excited with Fiat & Viagra

So I’ve wanted to write about this advertisement for quite some time now but just haven’t got around to it. There are some ads that try to fake you out with what they’re trying to advertise and this is a great example of that. Then starts out by showing a young (at heart) couple where the wife is “ready to go-Pun intended.” The husband excitedly runs to the restroom to take a little blue pill. But, alas he accidentally drops it out the window and it goes for a ride through the city.
