Inside That Ad is Back on Wednesday's in 2019

ITA will be back to posting regularly in 2019. This time though I’m going to “try” to stick to a strict weekly schedule. It will most likely be Wednesday at 8 PM PST. Look for the first official post of 2019 on Wednesday, January 8th.

I stopped posting for a few reasons:

The blog didn’t seem like it was getting traffic or had an audience at all. It still may not have an audience.
I lost the “.COM” domain name for this site.
I am not able to post daily which is why I am trying out a weekly schedule.
This blog was born in 2009, so 10 years ago and it has only generated about $47 in AdSense ad revenue. The time required for me to write a post that no one sees makes it not worth it. Although, I’ll give it one more try this year!

Here is to a prosperous 2019! Look for next blog post about a logo that I had designed.

Annihlation, The latest in ITA’s movie adventures was this work of fantasy fiction above. The movie starring Natalie Portman, a biologist named Lena has survived a cataclysmic event. Sitting in an isolation chamber, surrounded by unnerved people in hazmat suits, she’s interrogated about what just happened to her. In the process, she reveals who among the yet-to-be-introduced cast of characters who survives, and who dies. And the scene makes it clear that while some of her companions may be alive, she’s the only one who made it back to report these would be world ending events.

Today being two days after Independence Day I wanted to share one of my favorite patriotic advertisements. The spot below was created by Wieden + Kennedy for Levi’s featured a recording of the great American poet Walt Whitman reading his poem titled, “America”.

Inside That Ad Gets Business Cards!

Last Thursday, June 21, Inside That Ad’s business cards arrived in the mail. Please admire my friends’ photography skills displayed above. At first glance I liked them but then I noticed that the logo sat on its own layer on top of the black background of the card. I know, you can’t tell from the picture but the imperfection is there.

I know that this post is 13 days overdue, but better late then never, right? Every advertising blog has to discuss the commercials of the biggest advertising event of the year, the Super Bowl. Those of us who were faithful to Patriot Nation had hoped that advertisers would have a better night. But unfortunately only a few advertisers produced anything of note, all the rest should have kept their checkbooks in their pockets.
